Superintendents of D60, Pueblo City Schools (1986 - 2017)

[1986 - Summer 1991]; Edmund Vallejo; District #60; he's the 1st Hispanic Superintendent of Pueblo City Schools ever;

[1991 - 1993] Leonard T. Burns; D60 bought out Superintendent Leonard Burns' contract for $200,000;

[1993 - 2000]; Henry Roman; Henry Roman wasn't hard on his children in their educational pursuits. D60 appointed Henry Roman as the new superintendent 1993, the same year Dennis Flores & Judy Weaver were elected to the board.  

[2000 - 2006] Joyce Ford Bales; She had served as Dr. Roman’s deputy superintendent; that Tennessee Margaret Thatcher Tyrannical Troll; -baled on Pueblo City for $$$; -applying for superintendent jobs the whole time she worked at D60; the average pay for an Assistant Superintendent K-12 Education in Pueblo, CO is $110000 annually;; Joyce Bales was known for terrorizing the school board members who disagreed with her at their home. She allowed no dissension in her ranks. 3 were pushed out in 2 years; 

[2006 - Summer 2009]; John Covington; Alabama Jailer John Covington; 

[Summer 2009 - 2010]; Kathy West

[2010 - 2014]; Maggie Lopez 2010 - 2014); retired; a 2012 Denver Post investigation, Pueblo City Schools had a three-year, $7.4 million contract with a New York-based Global Partnership Crooks, LLC. The company was hired to boost learning at six schools. Instead, school performance scores dropped at five of the six schools. Lopez is now the Superintendent of Eagle County in spite of retirement;
