Legally Executed In & Around Pueblo Colorado (2018)

January 29, 2018. Joe Delire-Alires. According to police, a woman called authorities just after 6 p.m. and said her former partner was loitering outside her home firing shots in the air. She and her children had barricaded themselves inside their home. When police got to the scene on the 2600 block of East 9th Street, they heard several rapid-fire shots going off in quick succession. The suspect then hopped in his SUV and sped away. He led pursuing officers across the city's east side and onto the opposite side of the interstate to the area of Craig Street and West 13th Street, where an officer used a PIT maneuver to forcibly stop the suspect's vehicle. Police say the suspect wasn't deterred and tried to make a run for it, gun in hand. As he ran from officers, he reportedly fired several rounds at them. Police say the chase went on for nearly a block before several officers shot and mortally wounded the suspect. The suspect, Delira-Alires, was given medical treatment but died at the scene.

March 2018. Pueblo police shot and killed a man after they said he fled a home on a bicycle and refused to comply with them, eventually pulling a gun on officers. The coroner identified the suspect as 55-year-old Steven Peters of Pueblo. The incident started at about 11 p.m. March 6 on East 9th Street when police say an armed man went to a woman's home and refused to leave. He was reportedly violating a restraining order. Police were called, and the suspect hopped on a bike and headed east after seeing officers pull up. Police quickly found him just a block away at the intersection with North Iola Avenue. Police say Peters refused to cooperate and was eventually tased -- which officers tell 11 News was ineffective because he was wearing a thick jacket. Peters took off again and the pursuit  continued. "During that foot chase he produced a gun and started running through the homes in the area," said Cpt. Kenny Rider with the Pueblo Police Department. Thomas DeCesaro & Adam Quintana then shot & killed Steven Peters.

May 19, 2018. Pueblo County Sheriff's department shot & killed Santiago Evans-Valencia, 36, on a Saturday. Pueblo Sheriff's Dept responded to a suspicious vehicle in the area of Acoma Road and 32 3/4 Lane early Saturday morning. 2 humans were found in the suspicious vehicle. When it was found that Valencio had several felony warrants, he pulled out a gun & fired shots. Then Valencio was shot & killed.

May 20, 2018. Sarah Pinz, 32, was found mysteriously dead in the Fremont County Jail on May 20, 2018, a Sunday.
